AbouT Department

Department of Electronics is at the forefront of the academics and development work in the field of Electronic Science and Technology. Our department was commenced its operation in June 1986. Currently above 100 students learn, and 01 Associate Professor and 02 Assistant Professors , all of them are active in work and take pride in guiding students. Academic flexibility has been introduced by our college to enhance the entrepreneurial skill among rural area students, regarding to this context department is running skill oriented courses, mobile repairing course from last 4 years and repairing of home appliances course from 2019-20 for students of all streams in our college. The electronics subject taught for B.C.S. students from year 2008-09.
Though all teachers are engaged in the academic counseling, they also guide the students at the time of enrolment, for competitive examinations,  placements and project exhibition. Students were also encouraged to take participation in hobby projects, seminars, wallpaper presentation, role playing, group discussion, sports and extracurricular activities.
Department have two practical laboratories, one general and one Microprocessor/ Microcontroller / Computer Lab. The total working area of department is 146 Sq. Meter. Two non-teaching staff helps for preparation of experiments. Faculty members of department are active members of Shivaji University Electronics Teachers Association (SUELTA) and Member of college working committees.

Objectives

  • To acquaint the students with the advanced trends in the field of Electronics and Technology
  • To make the students capable for further education in related field and self-employment.
  • To prepare Electronics students to develop research aptitude to carry out research activities in the recent technologies to solve the real time problems and to provide technical consultancy services.
  • Inculcate a sense of ethics, professional ism and effective communication skills amongst graduates.

Course Outcome

  • Provide opportunities to the students to acquire sound knowledge of Electronics science and technology.
  • Provide opportunity to students to learn the latest trends in Electronics.
  • Provide opportunities to the students become researchers and developers to satisfy the needs of the core Electronics Industry.
  • Provide opportunities to the students to formulate, analyze and solve real life problems faced in Electronics Industry.

  1. Understanding of professional and ethical responsibility.
  2. An ability to design a system, component, or process to meet desired needs in Electronics within realistic constraints such as economic, environmental, social, political, ethical, health and safety, manufacturability and sustainability
  3. Prepare the students to succeed in competitive examinations for higher education and employment
