Establishment

The Department of Psychology was established in 1971 under the headship of Professor S. G. Kulkarni. At present, Smt. C. V. Rajadnya is the head of the department


Vision

The vision of the department of Psychology is to train and prepare highly competent professionals in ever expanding field of psychology.

Mission

The mission of the department of psychology is to create energetic learning environment that facilitates growth of our students.

Goals of Dept.

1.    To acquaint students with the major concepts, theoretical perspectives and historical trends in Psychology
2. To inculcate research skills and communication skills
3. To encourage and teach to think critically about psychological issues
4. To help students to apply psychological knowledge
5. To help students develop professional competence
6. To guide students for further career in related fields
7. To provide community outreach services by providing psychometric assessment, counseling and awareness programs
